More snow

My window at work, it’s a crap picture but I decide what goes up and what does not. Only a handful of people made it to work today. Off to Eastbridge later hopefully if the conditions allow. A41 is apparently shut between Berkhamsted and Hemel Hempstead, so fingers crossed.

Luton again

airplane-luton

Snow has not stopped me getting to Luton. Road over Whipsnade pretty dodgy car seemed to be close to not gripping the road going up the hill. Snow not affecting flights.

No work at the dump

It is very cold this morning. The roads around the estate are very icy, but when you get to the main roads they are generally clear. It was a bit tricky slowing down to get off the A41. Picture shows there is no work going on at the Aston Clinton dump.

Snow again

buckland-in-the-snow

The worst since 1991 according to the BBC. A41 is partially covered and we are expecting more later on. I decided to walk to work it took about 45 minutes I went the back way down through Buckland. Might try it again it again, a nice way to start the day. Saw three Bullfinches.

Wildlife photographer of the year

stuffed-badger

It’s at the Natural History Museum in Tring until 8 March. The photo’s are as good as ever. A sign of the times though could not find one taken using traditional film. The winner Steve Winter was using a Rebel XT not the most up to date camera goes to prove you don’t have to have the latest equipment.

The badger is part of the new revamped exhibition.

This one is for Nada

thai-starter

Nada could not understand the point of a blog, like most things on the internet there is no point. We are at the Royal Siam in Aston Clinton the steamed prawns are recommended.

Bridleway resurface

digger-bridelway

They have decided to resurface the bridleway that runs along the perimeter fence at work. I am not sure why as you see about 1 person a week using it. Still in a credit crunch public projects keep us all in work.

Garden Bird Watch

grand-union-wendover-arm

Up the road to do Garden Bird Watch 2009. Started a bit late 16:20, but will make the most of the light available as Angela was throwing a ball for the dog so not much around to start. Rook, Wood Pigeon, Blackbird (3). That is the lot even walking round the garden did no good. The usual Tits etc were not about.

Simple Tags

Not sure how tags work so I have installed “Simple Tags” plugin to see if I can make sense of them. I should then end up with a useful tag cloud. It has features that allow you to add tage words and then auto-tag the whole content of your blog.
